How do we invite the Jatha to our Gurdwara Sahib?
Use the booking form on this website, or call or email the Jatha directly. Please include the date, the venue, the type of programme and roughly how many Sangat you expect, so we can plan properly.
What programmes does the Jatha perform?
Dhadi Vaaran, Gurbani Kirtan, Sikh historical discourse, Gurbani Santhia, and religious ceremonies conducted in accordance with Sikh Rehat Maryada — including Anand Karaj, birth-related ceremonies and final rites.
Does the Jatha travel outside Canada?
Yes. Since 2004 the members have served Sangats in India, England, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, the UAE, Greece, Portugal and Spain, among others.
Do you teach children and youth?
Yes. The Jatha teaches the Dhad and Sarangi, Gurbani Santhia and Sikh history to children and young people at Gurdwara Sahibs, Gurmat academies and community programmes. See the Youth Parchar page.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as you can, particularly around Gurpurabs and the Samagam season, when the calendar fills quickly.
